Walking past the beachgoers and tripping over the rocks that are in place of sand here, I contemplated what this meant for us. Nothing really, but I’m so good at overthinking. We settled into our spot and laughed about how we never knew this was here. https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/6a3860be08f75824837cf211/4321cae0-7ab8-469e-9db0-03289a9934de/IMG_6938.png Blog - The nude beach - I’m not here to make a statement for or against anything, because ultimately people’s choices for their own bodies are none of my concern. https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/6a3860be08f75824837cf211/b2f2d14f-1f6e-41d4-9582-0000769dbfca/IMG_6936.png Blog - The nude beach - But as I sit here longer and my partner combs the beach for seaglass, I’m noticing that the waves and the blooming sweet peas complement the naturalness of these naked bodies, and it’s actually kind of beautiful. It hasn’t taken long for me to settle in, and maybe next time I’ll bring more sunscreen. https://explicit-education.com/blog/so-you-feel-attacked monthly 0.5 2026-09-10 https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/6a3860be08f75824837cf211/1784871446970-O1OEEULXU65VAXV49FZS/unsplash-image-jPpHpgWNCKs.jpg Blog - So you feel attacked - Both people are feeling attacked, so how can we move past this? I certainly don’t have all the answers, and in my scenario, things didn’t go so well. I got defensive and felt incredulous at such an illogical fallacy – connection was lost and is still, to this day, being rebuilt. https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/6a3860be08f75824837cf211/c3465230-6aee-4034-9860-1f6fa35e8d64/Screenshot+2026-09-09+at+6.01.59%E2%80%AFPM.png Blog - So you feel attacked - If you are the person who is being corrected or has caused harm, you can rebuild the connection by trying to understand where the other person is coming from. https://explicit-education.com/blog/about-me monthly 0.5 2026-08-30 https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/6a3860be08f75824837cf211/9cc409d8-91b3-48ed-ba36-2dc054e6162a/IMG_6837.jpeg Blog - About me Hello! My name is Krys (they/them), and I’m the founder of Explicit Education. I’m a white, queer settler currently residing on the unceded territory of the lək̓ʷəŋən, Songhees and Esquimalt/Xʷsepsəm Nations, colonially known as Victoria, BC. I believe that our experiences and identities shape our worldviews, so I’m going to take this opportunity to introduce myself and how I came to this work. https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/6a3860be08f75824837cf211/6d9829ee-0392-43b9-a4c7-3af0903bf92f/IMG_2597.jpeg Blog - About me I went to the University of Victoria and graduated with an undergraduate degree in sociology. During this time and after, I began working in a variety of different non-profits (including a transition house). It wasn’t long before I was promoted into management roles, which triggered my interest in leadership and professional development and resulted in further education for a master’s degree in leadership. And while I loved leading my teams and providing necessary support to our community, I began to notice and become critical of serious gaps in practice. https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/6a3860be08f75824837cf211/a890a456-5633-49ec-ad87-5fb7ed9d4ec0/Untitled_Artwork.png Blog - About me I come to these conclusions from my personal experiences, formal education and witnessing the fallout of systems and people that, at best, overlook, and at worst, intentionally contribute to oppression. I think that there’s a tendency to get trapped in everything that’s wrong with the world (because there sure is a lot), and I’m guilty of this. However, the intention behind Explicit Education isn’t to sit in this; rather, it’s to take that knowledge and, together, do something about it. https://explicit-education.com/home daily 1.0 2026-07-29 https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/6a3860be08f75824837cf211/8d6b6a9b-8826-4e87-8ceb-c31ad494ce9e/IMG_0291.png https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/6a3860be08f75824837cf211/3b847408-3e77-4301-9a86-ab76a5730450/Untitled_Artwork+141.png https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/6a3860be08f75824837cf211/778fb735-bbda-47b3-a211-188bc4aff3b7/Untitled_Artwork+135.png https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/6a3860be08f75824837cf211/b7acb4a4-1e5b-418d-92a3-1477ea79c956/Untitled_Artwork.png https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/6a3860be08f75824837cf211/81da6d9e-ecf2-493c-a956-4eff728bdf34/Untitled_Artwork.png https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/6a3860be08f75824837cf211/0e727138-045e-4272-ad3d-19b159e5826e/Untitled_Artwork+84.png https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/6a3860be08f75824837cf211/b01c9dbf-1465-4e80-8229-13c19df38364/Untitled_Artwork.png https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/6a3860be08f75824837cf211/13773588-5f46-46fa-98ba-3d16f4ce7ff5/Untitled_Artwork.png https://explicit-education.com/about daily 0.75 2026-08-14 https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/6a3860be08f75824837cf211/1dc897c2-efd0-4a7a-8d03-ba0c570bb305/Untitled_Artwork+87.png https://explicit-education.com/contact daily 0.75 2026-08-14 https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/6a3860be08f75824837cf211/21360b2c-41d8-45b1-9f79-a6be66520ab9/Untitled_Artwork%2B93.png https://explicit-education.com/appointments daily 0.75 2026-08-14 https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/6a3860be08f75824837cf211/1780626620.877793-TWUYGAEWMOBOTTHPAIAA/imgg-gg3p-BCHVY-a48f0629.png https://explicit-education.com/sex-education daily 0.75 2026-08-14 https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/6a3860be08f75824837cf211/600a9ae6-763c-44c4-b7c9-c5206289eea6/Untitled_Artwork+90.png https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/6a3860be08f75824837cf211/0790023d-9031-419f-9396-09e9887c6571/Untitled_Artwork.png https://explicit-education.com/diversity-equity-and-inclusion-education daily 0.75 2026-08-14 https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/6a3860be08f75824837cf211/ebb125c9-d8be-4283-93e3-835aa3bf7b1b/Untitled_Artwork+95.png https://explicit-education.com/self-paced-course-details daily 0.75 2026-09-30 https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/6a3860be08f75824837cf211/e887dde1-b65b-434e-95b8-d379caac9352/award_star_99dp_0E0848_FILL0_wght400_GRAD0_opsz48.png https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/6a3860be08f75824837cf211/5136dfe3-c5e5-4998-b4dc-549a63affd5c/desktop_mac_99dp_0E0848_FILL0_wght400_GRAD0_opsz48.png https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/6a3860be08f75824837cf211/2555ee79-e390-4e42-a10b-599c2cd0cb13/play_lesson_99dp_0E0848_FILL0_wght400_GRAD0_opsz48.png https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/6a3860be08f75824837cf211/7e2e59d9-5d1b-454d-8bc1-e5da2674631f/license_99dp_0E0848_FILL0_wght400_GRAD0_opsz48.png https://explicit-education.com/faq-1 daily 0.75 2026-08-14 https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/6a3860be08f75824837cf211/98e3dbbb-a3cd-41c9-a4dd-335db8dc052b/Untitled_Artwork+127.png https://explicit-education.com/cancellation-and-refund-policies daily 0.75 2026-08-14 https://explicit-education.com/online-courses-1 daily 0.75 2026-09-30 https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/6a3860be08f75824837cf211/e887dde1-b65b-434e-95b8-d379caac9352/award_star_99dp_0E0848_FILL0_wght400_GRAD0_opsz48.png https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/6a3860be08f75824837cf211/5136dfe3-c5e5-4998-b4dc-549a63affd5c/desktop_mac_99dp_0E0848_FILL0_wght400_GRAD0_opsz48.png https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/6a3860be08f75824837cf211/2555ee79-e390-4e42-a10b-599c2cd0cb13/play_lesson_99dp_0E0848_FILL0_wght400_GRAD0_opsz48.png https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/6a3860be08f75824837cf211/7e2e59d9-5d1b-454d-8bc1-e5da2674631f/license_99dp_0E0848_FILL0_wght400_GRAD0_opsz48.png https://explicit-education.com/store daily 0.75 2026-08-19 https://explicit-education.com/store/p/supporting-team-members-with-lived-experience monthly 0.5 2026-09-01 https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/6a3860be08f75824837cf211/57cf85c1-03f3-44a6-8322-7557c2baba0c/Untitled_Artwork%2B99.png Store -
